SDL_GetGamepadGUIDForID

Get the implementation-dependent GUID of a gamepad.

Syntax

SDL_GUID SDL_GetGamepadGUIDForID(SDL_JoystickID instance_id);

Function Parameters

SDL_JoystickID instance_id the joystick instance ID.

Return Value

(SDL_GUID) Returns the GUID of the selected gamepad. If called on an invalid index, this function returns a zero GUID.

Remarks

This can be called before any gamepads are opened.

This function is available since SDL 3.2.0.
